My mom's going in for surgery early tomorrow morning to have something removed. They won't know what it is until they get it out, so we're all more than mildly concerned.

I'm choosing to take it as positive that the thing being found on a routine check was the first sign of anything off -- i.e., no other symptoms of a problem -- but all the same, positive thoughts would be appreciated.
