I am really enjoying using Ziggy. The wireless router came Saturday. Once I got past the mangled English in the instructions and set-up software, it worked impeccably. Still is, too. I hope it stays that way. Once again, I am five years behind the times as I can now surf the web from the comfort of the recliner in the distinctly-warmer-than-my-bedroom living room.
I had been trepidatious about buying a computer with Vista, since I've heard so many bad things about the interface, but I suppose I can live with it. My only real problem is the amount of garbage in the Start menu that I can't seem to get rid of -- all of those factory-installed Windows applications, f'r instance.
Right now, the next step is to decide how much media to carry over. Ziggy's only got 87 GB free and my MP3s alone total 35GB or so. There's another 22GB or so of AVIs. God help me if this machine can't read the MP3s for whatever stupid reason. Fortunately, at least, I know that I can transfer everything via Hex the iPod using the disk storage function.
