One More
Last night was fun. My cousin's 80s rock cover band played at the Second Floor downtown, so I went with two of my other cousins to watch them play. Second Floor's a terrible venue. The mix was off and circuits kept breaking. You'd think they'd never had a band in there before -- and they probably haven't, as I understand Second Floor's mostly a DJ/dance kinda place.
Once the technical issues were sorted, everything was good. There was a surprising amount of alcohol and goofy dancing. I, of course, could not be persuaded to dance, regardless of how many Long Island iced teas I was plied with. Not even for Don't Stop Believing. No sir. Stop staring at me.
Woke up sleepy, queasy and achey, but I went right on in to work. Grabbed a sausage McHandy from Handy's Lunch on my way up the hill. Still hungry now and kinda thinking about getting a coffee somewhere, which would only worsen the hunger issue.
Northeast Wars starts today. Originally I thought I would juggle my work hours so I could make the afternoon session, but decided against that. If I'd remembered about the show before yesterday, I might have reconsidered my reconsideration.
Anyway, hopefully there will be much gaming this weekend. Maybe I'll squeeze some sleep in there, but I doubt it.
