The House That Silence Built

This is a test post to see what happens when I try to use GoogleDocs' "post to blog" function.

I wanna install a nice stinking huge second hard drive in Holly, something in the neighborhood of 500-750 GB. Can anyone suggest a good place to start researching not only models, but the how-tos in doing so with an Apple G5?

And no, this is not entirely because my new job involves working with a similar set-up and I have become spontaneously jealous. It's been a long time coming and if I want to edit at home, as I would eventually like to do so, I figure I need some proper storage. Short of a petabyte-sized, this seems a good place to start.

On further reflection, maybe I should just run the hardware profiler on my work computer and buy whatever's installed in there.

I am refraining from posting anything about the new job until I have a whole week under my belt.

I will, however, report that the latest version of Final Cut Pro has an option to zoom in and out of the timeline while remaining centered on the playhead. Anyone who's ever tried to zoom in a particular section in a very long sequence will know this is Hot Shit.
