terrapin

Why am I teaching myself LaTeX? It seems a hell of a lot more straightforward than Scribus.

One or the Other

So I'm stuck on the Against the Burning Eye. I think part of the problem is it's very samey. There are already at least three monster hunting groups in WitchCraft and I can't really think of an angle that makes the Watchmen particularly unique.

Fortunately, I did just think of something else entirely, so that's okay.

Also, I've just put Doctor Who and the Daleks, with Peter Cushing, in the DVD player. Did they steal the opening soundtrack from a James Bond flick?

P.S. I like Tardis' cobbled-together look, but it needs more kinetic movement to it. As is, it's just a bunch of stuff piled up.

It'd Be Nice

I did some key-hammering earlier this evening. I was putzing around at the top of a blank document when I realized I kept deleting sentences because I wanted to write something that wasn't related, or wasn't worded very well or whatever.

Upon realizing this, I elected to stop doing that. So I just wrote a page and a half, jumping around as thoughts came to mind. I know everyone's been doing that since the dawn of writing, but it's the first time I've done it-done it since that fucking word-webs in elementary school.

One thing that's sticking in my head even now: in a world where people can summon the dead and talk to them, has anyone tried calling up Coleridge to help him remember the rest of Kublai Khan?
